The Reserva from Montecastro is a full-bodied and powerful red wine from Spain, which was made from the grape varieties Tempranillo and Merlot. It was stored for 18 months in barriques, 60% of which were new and 40% in second use. In the glass, it surprises with an extremely complex bouquet in which floral and calcareous aromas are presented. On the palate, you can feel the minerality that emerges from the perfect interaction of the terroir and the vines. A very special drop that you prefer to enjoy with exclusive dishes or as a meditation wine. The Montecastro winery is a merger of several friends who had an idea out of pure passion in 2000 to plant vineyards in the heart of the Ribera del Duero and produce quality wines. In 2002, this vision was implemented. They had help and support from the oenologist Betrand Erhard, who understood the philosophy of the project. 27 hectares of vineyard were planted when the winery was built at the same time. In 2012, Bodegas Hacienda Monasterio bought shares and invested in the entire technical facility and in the commercial management.
