Description

This Baynos from Mauro is another project of the Garcia family in the heart of Rioja. It is a concentrated red wine that is enveloped in the nose by ripe, red and black fruits, cherry, blackberry, currant, and plum. It was made from old vines of the Tempranillo variety and a small proportion of Graciano grapes. The grapes were traditionally vinified after selection and later fermented without pressing. The wine then remained in French oak barrels for 20 months before being bottled. The Mauro winery is the 4th winery of star winemaker Mariano Garcia. Mariano Garcia is a legend of Spanish oenology and one of the greatest players in the wine industry. It is located in a restored stone house from the Middle Ages.
