The Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard is located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation on the typical gravel and sand soils of the Médoc peninsula, whose barren structure and mild climate offer ideal conditions for great red wines. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot grow on around 80 hectares, reaching exceptional maturity here and producing wines of great structure, finesse, and elegance. As a pioneer of biodynamics in Bordeaux, Châteauneuf-du-Pape has been cultivating its vineyards strictly biodynamically for many years. Since the complete conversion and certifications by Ecocert and Demeter, wines with special clarity, precision, and expression of the terroir have been created. Fermentation takes place with natural yeasts and proceeds slowly so that fruit and tannin can unfold optimally. The wine then matures for around 16 to 20 months in French oak barrels, depending on the batch, before being bottled as Grand Vin.
