Description
This well-structured red wine from Tenuta Argentieri was obtained from the estate's own Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. After the harvest, the grapes were destemmed and gently pressed in the cellar. Each variety was processed separately. The alcoholic fermentation and maceration lasted approx. 20-25 days and was carried out at a controlled temperature of max. 28°C. Subsequently, half of the wine was stored in used French and Hungarian barriques, in which the malolactic fermentation also took place. The remaining 50% of the wine matured in stainless steel tanks. The result of the production process is a highly concentrated wine with a good, intense structure and a broad, fragrant bouquet. A great wine that was also able to convince renowned wine critics. Argentiera is one of the highest-lying wineries, located in the middle of the Bolgheri DOC area in Maremma. Maremma is the sovereign territory of Italian wine production. Tenuta Argentiera attaches great importance to teamwork and is convinced that this is the only way to produce excellent wines that will be remembered.
