Description

The grapes for this lush red wine come from parcels that have an average age of approx. 30 years. The Syrah grapes grow on pebble soils of the maritime terroir with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea. Carignan comes from the area near the Aspres at the foot of the Pyrenees and the Grenache grapes come from the Agly Valley, where the soils consist mainly of black slate. After hand-picking, they were all sorted and processed traditionally. The alcoholic fermentation and maceration lasted approx. 3 weeks. Afterwards, approx. 20% of the wine was stored in barriques and 80% in vats with weekly battonage.
