The Saffredi comes from the renowned Fattoria Le Pupille winery, which is located in the Maremma, in the heart of southern Tuscany. The winery is one of the best and most respected in Italy and has earned a first-class reputation for the production of high-quality wines. In the glass, the Saffredi presents itself in a deep dark ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is dominated by intense aromas of black fruits such as currant, blackberry, and black cherry, which harmonize perfectly with spicy notes of clove, cinnamon, and a subtle licorice. A touch of fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and sage adds additional complexity to the bouquet, while tobacco notes give the scent a refined depth.
