Since 1978, Bodegas Mauro has been characterized by the production of quality red wines. Balanced, opulent and sensual wines are the identity of the terroir. The riverside town of Tudela has a long wine-growing tradition. The reputation and history of the wines date back to 1562. There are the 80 hectares of vineyards, which are mainly planted with fine Tempranillo and Syrah, on light, filtering soils that are easy to work and, depending on the plot, have a balanced texture, limestone or clay-limestone. The grapes for the Mauro VS come from 20-25 year old vines. The harvest is done by hand. Maceration lasts 2-3 weeks and then matures for 32 months in French and American oak barrels.
