Alto Moncayo
Veraton Magnum
Altado
A magnificent wine from Spain with a particular label. A piece that does not go unnoticed in any wine collection. The grapes for this dry and very tannic red wine come from very old vineyards located in the pristine area of Mandatos. Here, the perfect microclimate creates the ideal conditions for unique quality wines. Only Monastrell grapes are used for production, as the name of the wine reveals. After the manual harvest, which takes place at night, the berries are processed traditionally and transferred to horizontally rotating steel tanks for fermentation. The malolactic fermentation lasts eight days at a controlled temperature of 26°C. Afterwards, the wine matures for six months in French barriques. After aging, it undergoes light clarification and cold stabilization. To preserve all organoleptic characteristics, an antimicrobial filtration is carried out before bottling. Tomasso Ciampoli manages the family-run winery Finca Fella. Already from the age of four, he helped his grandfather in wine production and followed every step with enthusiasm and admiration. Since then, many things have changed in wine production. During a business trip to the Castilla La Mancha region, he found a 25-hectare plot of land with very old vines at an altitude of over 1000 m and immediately had the vision to continue the family tradition in this place. Finca Fella was thus born in another country with the use of other grapes that provide a unique quality.
