Description

San Gregorio is considered one of the most impressive Merlot interpretations in Italy. This pure Merlot delights with its intense, deep ruby red color and a complex bouquet that presents rich aromas of dark berry jam, sweet spices, eucalyptus, vanilla, and roasted coffee. On the palate, the wine is soft and full-bodied with notes of fully ripe cherries, finely embedded tannins, and a long-lasting, harmonious finish. The grapes for the Patrimo come from the mineral-rich soils of the Irpinia region in Southern Italy, where the Mediterranean climate and altitude combine to create an exceptional balance of ripeness, freshness, and structure. After careful manual harvesting, the wine matures for at least 18 months in French barriques before receiving further time in the bottle to achieve perfect harmony.
