Luis Cañas
Crianza Magnum
Luzón
In this bottle is Alma, "the soul" together with the dreams and passions of the winery and the whole team. Alma de Luzon reflects the illusion and the work of the best winemakers of the winery, it is the result of the nonconformist spirit of the estate's philosophy in search of a wine that excites, satisfies and deserves the memory of the land and climate. That is why this wine was called "Alma". The grapes were harvested by hand. They were transported in 15 kg boxes to the cellar and stored for 24 hours at low temperature in the cold room. The subsequent alcoholic fermentation took place in 500 liter barrels. Then the wine was filled into new American and French oak barrels and stored in them for 22 months. After bottling, the wine was stored for another 16 months before it went on sale. The Luzón winery is one of the historic wineries in the region and has been producing wines since the late 19th century. To get to its origin, one must go back to the year 1841, when Don José de Molina, a commander of the royal armies, decided to return from the Spanish colony of Manila to his homeland. There he settled and named his lands Finca Luzón, which he bequeathed to his daughter Ana Josefa. Bodegas Luzón is one of the oldest wineries in the Jumilla region and has been managed by women for a very long period since its inception.
