Description

Anyone who has tasted wines from the Bolgheri area knows that they will not go wrong with the Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore. This red wine represents and reflects its terroir near the Maremma in perfection. Rich and silky in taste, produced from grapes that were hand-picked from the best parts of the winery, which grow at approx. 180-200 meters above sea level. After the harvest, these were selected and processed in the wine cellar by gravity in the tubs. The fermentation process and maceration took place within 25-30 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. The malolactic fermentation then took place in 225 l large French oak barrels (50% of which were new). Subsequently, the Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore matured in barriques and in the bottle. The Argentiera winery is one of the highest-lying wineries, which is located in the middle of the Bolgheri DOC area in the Maremma. The Maremma is the sovereign territory of Italy's wine production. The Tenuta Argentiniera attaches great importance to teamwork and is convinced that only in this way can excellent wines be created that one will remember.
