Description

The Feld Merlot Cabernet Riserva from the Kaltern winery comes from south-facing slopes at 250 to 350 meters above sea level. The warm microclimate and the gravelly loamy soils, which are influenced by the surrounding porphyry slopes, characterize the conditions of the vineyards. Merlot and Cabernet were vinified separately and matured for twelve months in barriques after mash fermentation before the two batches were blended.
