Denner loyalty card: there is none, here is how you still save

Denner runs no loyalty card and no points programme, and you cannot collect Cumulus points at a Denner till either. Savings come straight off the promo price: weekly deals from Thursday to Wednesday, the weekend Knaller through Sunday and rotating wine promotions. See this week's actual prices compared neutrally in the Rappn app.

Denner loyalty card: there is none, how saving at Denner works without a card

No, Denner has no classic loyalty card and no points programme. The discounter belongs to the Migros Group but does not take part in Cumulus. Savings at Denner happen directly at the till: weekly deals from Thursday to Wednesday, the four-day weekend Knaller and a free app with deal alerts. This guide shows how to use the system.

Rappn is the only neutral grocery price comparison app in Switzerland, with no commercial agreements with any retailer.

Does Denner have a loyalty card or points programme?

The short answer: no. Denner runs no loyalty card, no points system and no personalised coupons. The official services page on denner.ch lists an app, a newsletter, a WhatsApp service, deal alerts, a shopping list, a flyer subscription and gift cards, but no card of any kind (source: denner.ch, checked July 2026). The Swiss comparison service moneyland.ch also lists Denner among the retailers without a loyalty programme.

A common point of confusion: Denner belongs to the Migros Group, yet it does not take part in the Cumulus programme. You collect Cumulus points at Migros and several other Migros companies, but not at a Denner till. Migros' own community forum Migipedia confirms this regularly, citing among other things Denner's independent price calculation (source: migipedia.migros.ch, moneyland.ch).

Two things are sometimes mistaken for a loyalty card: the Denner gift card is a prepaid payment card, not a rewards scheme, and the customer account in the online wine shop is an ordering account for home delivery, again with no points attached.

Why does Denner skip the card?

Denner positions itself as a discounter: the promo price at the till applies to everyone, with no registration, no app requirement and no data entry. While Migros and Coop lean on personalised coupons through Cumulus and Supercard, Denner communicates its discounts directly through the weekly flyer and the shelf tags in the store. In practice that means you never miss a Denner discount just because you forgot a card at home.

Curious what the big Swiss points programmes actually return? Our Cumulus vs Supercard comparison breaks down the mechanics of both, and the Swiss loyalty card wallet guide collects every card in one place. The base value of both programmes is roughly 1% back on purchases. Denner instead puts everything into the promo price itself, with wine discounts reaching up to 50% depending on the week (source: denner.ch).

How Denner discounts actually work

Since 5 February 2026, Denner's promotion week has started on Thursday and run until Wednesday of the following week. It previously ran Tuesday to Monday. At the same time the weekend special, the Wochenend-Knaller, was extended from two to four days and now runs Thursday to Sunday. Denner justified the change with shopping behaviour: more and more customers do their big weekly shop between Thursday and Saturday (source: Denner press release "Denner verschiebt Aktionsstart auf Donnerstag", foodaktuell.ch, January 2026).

Promo typeValidWhat it is
Weekly deals (Wochenaktionen)Thursday to WednesdayThe classic promo prices from the flyer, app and website
Weekend KnallerThursday to SundayShort deep discounts, four days instead of two since February 2026
Wine promotionschanging weeklyRotating wines at up to 50% off, Denner's signature category
Multi-buy dealsmarked per promotionPromo prices that only apply from two or more units

Watch the small print: part of the promotions are multi-buy deals, where the promo price only kicks in from two or more units. This is always marked on the shelf tag and in the flyer. And as everywhere, a Denner promo price is not automatically the best price of the week. The same item can be cheaper at Migros, Coop, Aldi or Lidl in the same week, which is why a neutral cross-check before shopping pays off.

Never miss a Denner deal: the free tools that replace the card

  • Denner app with deal alerts: mark your favourite products and get a notification as soon as they go on promotion. The app also includes a shareable shopping list and the wine shop with home delivery (source: denner.ch, App Store).
  • "Aktionen ab Donnerstag" on denner.ch: according to denner.ch, the following week's deals are already online from Monday, so you can plan the Thursday shop in advance.
  • WhatsApp service and newsletter: both push new promotions automatically, no card or checkout account needed (source: denner.ch).
  • Flyer subscription: if you prefer planning on paper, you can subscribe to the weekly Denner flyer.

The catch with all these channels: they only show Denner. Whether a deal really is the best price of the week only becomes visible next to the other retailers. That is exactly what Rappn is for: every current promotion from Migros, Coop, Aldi, Lidl, Denner, Aligro and Otto's in one feed, filterable by product, category, price and canton.

Can I collect Cumulus points at Denner?

What day do Denner deals start?

Since 5 February 2026 they start on Thursday and run until Wednesday of the following week. The weekend Knaller runs Thursday to Sunday. The promo week previously ran Tuesday to Monday (source: Denner press release, foodaktuell.ch).

What does the Denner app do if it is not a loyalty card?

The free app shows current and upcoming deals, notifies you via the deal alert as soon as a favourite product is discounted, and includes a shareable shopping list plus the wine shop with home delivery. It contains no points and no coupons (source: denner.ch, App Store).

How do I save the most at Denner without a card?

Plan your shop around Thursday, when the weekly deals and the weekend Knaller start. Activate the deal alert for products you buy regularly, and check the promo price against the other retailers before you shop, for example in the Rappn app.

Does Denner at least sell gift cards?
