Scheiblhofer
The red wine Scheiblhofer The Great Bustard is an intense red wine in a limited edition. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his father, who is well-known in the wine scene, his son Erich Scheiblhofer, who completed many years of his training at wineries in Australia and California, produced a new, grandiose wine. The name of this cuvée comes from the Great Bustard, a bird native to Burgenland, which is one of the heaviest flight-capable birds in Europe. Various grape varieties were used for the wine: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt. The Scheiblhofer family winery is 85 hectares in size and is located on Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. The mineral soils and the good climate with many hours of sunshine are ideal conditions for the grapes and result in this traditionally grown wine.
