The Cà di Pian from the La Spinella winery is a Barbera with an unmistakable character. It was produced for the first time in 1985. Its grapes come from the vineyards in the municipalities of Castagnole delle Lanze, Costigliole d'Asti and Montegrosso d'Asti. After the harvest, a 14-15 day maceration and alcoholic fermentation took place in temperature-controlled French oak barrels. The wine was then matured for twelve months in French barriques and three months in the bottle. The family winery La Spinella was founded in the 1960s by Giuseppe Rivetti and his wife Lidia. Both were experienced and dedicated farmers who led a modest and ambitious life. These are also the values and philosophy of the family business, which still exist today. Today the estate is managed by their children Carlo, Bruno, Giorgio and Giovanna, who have been involved in winemaking since their childhood and have implemented the teachings of their parents.
