Elena Walch
The Lagrein Castel Ringberg is a charming red wine that is obtained from the Lagrain grape. The vines grow on the best vineyards in the region, whose soils are very calcareous. The designation Vigna stands for a precise origin designation. This results in the fact that the grapes used come from a very specific cultivation area and there was only a very small yield. After the harvest, the grapes of this majestic wine were subjected to days of mash fermentation with subsequent acid reduction. The aging took place for 20 months in French oak barrels. Afterward, the wine matured for several months in the bottle. The Elena Walch winery is located in picturesque South Tyrol in Italy. The family business belongs with international success to the elite of Italian wine production. The company pursues a clear philosophy and this is dedicated to its terroir. The quality of the wines arises in the vineyard; the special conditions of their soil and their climate give them their individual expression. The climatic conditions and the excellent locations of the vineyards produce fresh and fruity white wines as well as concentrated and velvety red wines. The wines show character, elegance, and great personality – they reflect the most professional winemaking.
