In 1981, the Swiss couple Brigitte and Bruno Widmer acquired the abandoned Brancaia estate in the heart of Chianti Classico. Their uncompromising quality strategy and exciting, modern style quickly allowed Brancaia to rise into the top group of Tuscan wineries. Today, Brancaia is one of the flagship wineries of Tuscany. The exclusive wines are regularly found at the top of tastings and are rewarded with high awards by international wine critics.
