Description

The Concerto di Fonterutoli from Mazzei is an elegant and complex wine, wrapped in fruity notes such as forest fruits and black berries. It is made from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and ferments at a controlled temperature of 26-28 °C. Finally, it matures for 18 months in French oak barrels. The Mazzei family winery has been a symbol of Tuscan wines since the 11th century and later took possession of the Tuscan estate Castello di Fonterutoli. Concerto was launched on the market in 1981, before its potential was recognized. Experiments were carried out that led to the naming of the so-called Super Tuscans, and Concerto became one of their precursors and most important representatives.
