Le Serre Nuove impressively shows why Ornellaia is one of the leading estates in Bolgheri. As the second wine of the famous house, it combines the typical refinement, structure, and finesse of the Tuscan coast and presents itself as particularly balanced, expressive, and accessible. In the glass, it shines in an intense purple red. The bouquet convinces with aromas of ripe black fruits, fine spice nuances, and delicately toasted wood notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and juicy, carried by a powerful, densely structured tannin architecture. Its excellent balance of fruit, structure, and freshness gives it elegance and tension at the same time. The long, supple finish underlines the class of the wine. Even in its youth, Le Serre Nuove offers great drinking pleasure, but develops additional complexity and depth with a few years of aging.
