Description

The Alto Moncayo is a highly awarded, single-varietal red wine from Spain, made from Garnacha grapes that come from very old vines. These are 40-70 years old and yield a low harvest. This smooth wine matured for 20 months in new barrels, which gave it its remarkable complexity on the nose. Its seductive bouquet with aromas of black fruit, balsamic and roasted notes, the very good structure on the palate and its great aromatic finish make this Garnacha a very special drop. The feared wine critic Robert Parker awarded the Alto Moncayo the top score of 100 points for the 2007 & 2009 vintages!
