Coop deals next week in Switzerland: preview, Thursday start and the weekly switch explained

Coop's deals for next week start on Thursday and run until Wednesday of the following week. Coop publishes an official preview in its online shop, the "Preview special offer week" section on coop.ch, while flyer portals usually upload the next-week Prospekt only shortly before the switch. For the offers valid right now, see Coop deals this week.

Sources checked regularly. Coop press release on the promotion-day change (January 2025), foodaktuell.ch, kleinreport.ch, coop.ch (weekly promotions preview section), Migros press release of February 2026. The exact promo prices are live in the Rappn app, not in this guide.

Rappn is the only neutral grocery price comparison app in Switzerland, with no commercial agreements with any retailer.

When do next week's Coop deals start?

Since January 2025, Coop has switched its promotions every Thursday. The new promo week runs until Wednesday of the following week, then the next cycle begins (source: Coop press release, foodaktuell.ch). So "next week" at Coop means something concrete: the new prices apply from the coming Thursday, whatever day you are reading this page.

Looking for the deals that are valid right now? You will find them collected and continuously updated on Coop deals this week. This page deliberately looks one step ahead.

For planning, it helps to know the individual promo blocks, because they do not all switch at the same pace:

Promo typeValidWhat it means for your planning
Weekly deals (Aktionen)Thursday to WednesdayThe core of the new week, shown in the flyer and in Coop's preview
Weekend HitsThursday to SundayValid for just four days; miss them and you wait for the next Thursday
Week-start HitsMondayThe last block of the running week, just before the next switch
Super-Weekend / Hammerusually the weekendEspecially low promo prices, often valid only a few days

Where can you see next week's Coop deals in advance?

The most reliable place is Coop itself. The coop.ch online shop has a preview section for the coming promo week, where Coop lists upcoming weekly deals with their future start date, filterable by product category (source: coop.ch). Coop does not officially communicate when exactly the preview goes online, but it is worth a look before Thursday once you start planning your weekly shop.

  • coop.ch weekly promotions preview: the official preview in the Coop online shop, with upcoming weekly deals and their start date (source: coop.ch).
  • Coopzeitung: published on Thursday since early 2025, so on the start day itself. That makes it a companion to the running promo week rather than a genuine preview of the following one (source: kleinreport.ch, Coop press release).
  • Flyer portals: sites such as Oferlo, Kimbino or Rabatt-Kompass advertise the next-week flyer. In practice it appears there irregularly and often only shortly before Thursday, sometimes still with outdated "from Tuesday" labels. More on this in the guide to Swiss supermarket flyers.
  • Supercard app: the coupons change weekly, but our research found no documented early access to the following week's deals. The Supercard is a loyalty programme, not a promo preview.

Thursday is the new promo day, almost everywhere

The Thursday start is no longer a Coop quirk. Since 5 February 2026, Migros promotions have also started on Thursday and run until Wednesday of the following week, and Denner has moved its promo-week start to Thursday as well (source: Migros press release, February 2026).

RetailerPromo windowSince
CoopThursday to WednesdayJanuary 2025
MigrosThursday to Wednesday5 February 2026
Dennerstarts ThursdayFebruary 2026

One difference remains with the customer magazines: the Migros magazine is delivered on Wednesday, one day before the promo start, while the Coopzeitung only appears on Thursday itself (source: Migros press release, kleinreport.ch). If you read the Migros preview on Wednesday, you can compare it directly with the Coop preview on coop.ch. The full weekly rhythm of all chains, including Aldi Suisse and Lidl, is in the Swiss promotion calendar.

Wait or buy now? How to use the preview

The preview is worth real money mainly when the product you want is not on promotion this week. If it shows up in next week's preview, you can often postpone the purchase by a few days without any downside. Shelf-stable items like coffee, rice or detergent suit this better than fresh produce. And mind the short windows: Weekend Hits end on Sunday, so if you come on Monday you pay the regular price again.

The preview only shows Coop, though. Whether Migros, Aldi, Lidl, Denner or Aligro offer the same product cheaper in the same week only becomes visible in a cross-chain comparison, and that is exactly what Rappn is for. As soon as the new deals go live on Thursday, they sit side by side there, compared neutrally; see also the price comparison.

Plan next week, save this week

This guide deliberately names no specific promo prices, because they change every Thursday. The current Coop deals, including Weekend Hits and hammer prices, are in the Rappn app, updated daily: over 10,000 offers, over 3,000 supermarkets, 100% free. And if you want to know what applies right now, the fastest route is the page Coop deals this week.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are next week's Coop deals announced?

The new promo week starts every Thursday and runs until Wednesday of the following week. Coop shows an official preview of the coming promo week in its coop.ch online shop; it does not officially communicate when exactly the preview goes online. Flyer portals usually publish the next-week flyer only shortly before the switch.

Where can I find the Coop flyer for next week?

Most reliably in the preview section of the Coop online shop on coop.ch. Portals such as Oferlo or Kimbino advertise the next-week flyer but upload it irregularly. The Coopzeitung only appears on Thursday, the start day of the new deals (source: kleinreport.ch).

Do the current Coop deals stay valid until the switch?

Yes. The weekly deals run Thursday to Wednesday of the following week, then the new cycle starts. Weekend Hits already end on Sunday, and Week-start Hits apply only on Monday. What is running right now is on our Coop deals this week page.

Does Migros also start its deals on Thursday?

Yes. Since 5 February 2026, Migros promotions start on Thursday and run until Wednesday of the following week, and Denner has moved its promo start to Thursday as well (source: Migros press release). Coop, Migros and Denner now switch their deals on the same weekday.

Does the Supercard give early access to next week's deals?

Our research found no documented early access to the coming promo week. The Supercard app shows weekly changing coupons and personal discounts, but it is a loyalty programme with Superpunkte, not a promo preview. If you want to plan further ahead, the official preview on coop.ch is the better tool.

How do I know if an announced Coop deal is actually cheap?

Compare the promo price with other chains as soon as it goes live on Thursday. In the Rappn app, Coop deals sit neutrally next to the offers from Migros, Aldi, Lidl, Denner, Aligro and Otto's, filterable by product, category, price and canton.
