- Compare a basket, not a brand: Price the same basket across several chains. In the K-Tipp price comparison 14/2025 of 28 August 2025, Aldi was the cheapest across 100 everyday articles and Coop the most expensive, a gap of 8.6 percent, or close to CHF 20 on the whole basket (source: ktipp.ch).
- Staples cost almost the same everywhere: Flour, sugar or butter cost practically the same at Migros, Coop, Denner, Aldi and Lidl. The big gaps show up in cleaning and personal-care products and in branded goods (source: ktipp.ch).
- Let the offers set the menu: First look at what is on offer this week, then plan your meals. Buying meat, fish or seasonal vegetables at the promo price saves more than any loyalty point.
