When do Denner's wine promotions land?
New promotions start on Thursday ("promotions from Thursday" is a standing Denner section). For wine the discounts reach up to 50%, with origins rotating (Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Chile). Quantity discounts are often added, buy a case and the per-bottle price drops. For the cellar it pays to buy in the promo week and stock up.
Denner Weinshop: ordering wine online
Even though Denner does not deliver groceries, the Weinshop delivers wine across Switzerland (and to Liechtenstein). The terms: minimum order CHF 50, delivery fee CHF 9.90, free from CHF 400; for orders between CHF 50 and 100 a small-quantity surcharge of up to CHF 5 applies. It ships via Planzer. You order at denner.ch/weinshop or in the Denner app.
Is Denner wine any good?
For the price, yes: Denner wines regularly take medals at the Expovina Wine Trophy (the international competition in Zurich), and product pages show ratings from Falstaff, Parker and others. A discounter price does not automatically mean low quality here, but which wine is a real bargain this week is decided by the promotion.
The cheapest wine depends on the week. Rappn shows the wine promotions of Denner, Coop, Aldi, Lidl and more side by side, neutrally, so you see which chain has your wine on promotion this week.
