Aldi Suisse tried it anyway, launching its own online delivery service, ALDI now, in December 2021 (per aldi-suisse.ch). More than four years later the attempt is over. What happened to ALDI now?
According to 20 Minuten and Blick (both 23 August 2026), ALDI now ended at the end of August 2026 in Bussigny, Bern, Geneva, Lucerne, Basel and Adliswil; an Aldi spokeswoman confirmed this to 20 Minuten. Both outlets reported the end in the Zurich region for the end of September 2026, a date Aldi did not confirm according to Blick. Aldi gave its strategy as the reason: a return to being a true discounter. On 28 September 2026, aldi-now.ch redirected to the Aldi Suisse website.
ALDI now never offered in-store pickup (click and collect), so Aldi groceries are bought in store. Until the closure, ALDI now had a CHF 50 minimum order and a delivery fee of CHF 11.90 from CHF 50, CHF 9.90 from CHF 80 and CHF 6.90 from CHF 100, plus CHF 1.50 for transport material and a picking fee shown at checkout (per aldi-now.ch, checked in June 2026).

Does Lidl deliver groceries in Switzerland?
No. Lidl Switzerland does not offer a home-delivery service for groceries; the online shop at lidl.ch sells non-food items (per lidl.ch, June 2026). With ALDI now gone, neither discounter delivers groceries to your home any more.
