The Valtravieso Finca La Atalaya Reserva is an impressive wine made from the Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grape varieties. It shows a deep cherry-red color in the glass. In the nose, aromas of ripe black fruits like plum and blackberry compote unfold, complemented by a hint of green currant as well as notes of tobacco and cedar. On the palate, the wine presents itself full-bodied, voluminous, and very structured, with a long-lasting finish. Furthermore, it was aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels, which gave it additional depth. This wine goes excellently with grilled meat, aged cheese, stews with red meat, but also with baked fish.
