There is a story about the name L'Uccellone: it was the nickname of a woman who lived on the hill where the vineyards were located. Her nose resembled a bird's beak and she always dressed in black, hence the village nickname. This Barbera has its origins in the wonderful and lush landscape of Piedmont. Here, between Monferrato Astigiano and the Langhe, the Rocchetta Tanaro vineyards form the heart of the region, whose medium-consistency soils consist of 50% sand and 50% clay. Here, wines with an intense aromatic and taste spectrum are produced.
