Delizio Compatible Capsules in Switzerland: What One Capsule Really Costs

Delizio is the Swiss capsule system sold by Migros, developed and produced by Delica AG. The original capsule costs CHF 19.80 for 48 capsules on delizio.ch in September 2026, which works out at 41.25 centimes per capsule. Delizio-compatible capsules from other chains sit well below that: Denner lists the NERO Lungo at 24 capsules for CHF 3.80, or 15.83 centimes per capsule, and the EMOZIONE line at 24 capsules for CHF 7.95, or 33.13 centimes (denner.ch, September 2026). Which variety sits at which chain, and when it goes on promotion, keeps changing, so this guide explains the price structure and leaves the current deal prices to the live comparison in Rappn.

What is the Delizio system, and who is behind it?

Delizio is not an international capsule format, it is a Swiss one. Behind the system stands Delica AG, which according to delica.com develops and produces "zahlreiche Eigenmarken für die Migros und für anspruchsvolle Handelspartner", that is, many own brands for Migros and for demanding trade partners. The brand row on delica.com puts Delizio and CoffeeB next to Frey, Blevita, Farmer and Sun Queen. Delizio itself states on delizio.ch that the brand has stood for Swiss-quality coffee for more than twenty years.

That is why the price-per-capsule question ends differently here than with Nespresso. The Delizio format has no broad European market of third-party capsules: if you want a compatible one, you buy it from one of the few Swiss chains that make their own. According to the Luzerner Zeitung of 13 June 2019, Nespresso and Delizio are "the two largest capsule systems in the Swiss market", which is precisely why the capsule, not the machine, decides your bill.

Delizio compatible capsules: price per capsule compared

The comparison only becomes usable once you divide the pack price by the number of capsules. Delizio shows that figure itself, as a base price per 100 capsules. The table below lists only prices we saw on the suppliers' own pages in September 2026.

Two things stand out. First, the gap between the cheapest compatible and the original is large: 15.83 against 41.25 centimes is more than 25 centimes a cup. Second, "compatible" does not mean "cheap". Denner's EMOZIONE line is Delizio-compatible too, but at 33.13 centimes it sits only about eight centimes below the original. The market has two floors, discount and premium, and searching for "compatible" alone does not land you on the cheaper one.

Third, pack size matters. On the original you pay 41.25 centimes in the 48-pack and 44.17 or 49.58 centimes in the 12-packs, for the same brand. The small pack costs structurally more per cup.

Does Aldi Suisse sell Delizio compatible capsules?

We found none in September 2026. aldi-suisse.ch lists own-brand BARISSIMO capsules, specifically Single Origin Colombia and Single Origin Costa Rica, and the product tile names no capsule system. In the 20 Minuten comparison of 6 June 2025, BARISSIMO appears only as a Nespresso-compatible line.

The honest answer: Aldi Suisse is strong on capsules, but its documented strength is in the Nespresso format. For a Delizio machine the discounter is, as far as we could verify, not a source. The chains that do sell one are in the next table.

To place the two launches: Coop introduced La Mocca in June 2019 at 33 centimes a capsule, "up to 11 centimes or 25 percent cheaper than the Migros original depending on pack size" (Luzerner Zeitung, 13 June 2019). Lidl Schweiz entered on 7 July 2020 with Bellarom, then in all 144 of its stores, with the line: "the cheapest capsule is available for less than 18 centimes a piece". Blick did the arithmetic on 29 August 2023: original CHF 19.80 for 48, Bellarom CHF 7.99 for 50, Denner and Coop at 18 centimes each. Those figures are dated, but they show how long the gap has existed.

Delizio or Cremesso: same maker, two names

If you meet a machine abroad that looks like your Delizio but is called Cremesso, that is neither a coincidence nor a different retailer. Cremesso is the export name of the same Delica system. The Federation of Migros Cooperatives announced the international launch of Cremesso on 11 February 2010, starting in Austria in late September 2009 and in South Korea in December 2009, and stated that Delica AG is a Migros company. cremesso.at says the same from the other side: Delica AG belongs to the Swiss Migros industries, and the coffee has been roasted, ground and packed for over 60 years in Birsfelden near Basel.

Two consequences for you. First, Cremesso does not belong to another Swiss chain, and Coop's answer to Delizio is called La Mocca. Second, a search such as "buy Cremesso capsules Switzerland" will land you back at the Delizio shelf here, because in Switzerland the brand runs under its Swiss name.

When are Delizio capsules on promotion?

On Thursday, or not at all that week. Migros, Coop and Denner now all start their weekly Aktionen on Thursday, though not since the same date: Coop moved its promotion start from Tuesday to Thursday in the week of 21 January 2025, and Migros and Denner followed on 5 February 2026. Aldi Suisse and Lidl Schweiz run two rounds a week, on Monday and Thursday. Rappn shows the offers running right now.

Read the shape of the promotion as well: discounts in this category often land on a multi-buy or on the large pack rather than the single box. Because the original is already cheaper per capsule in the 48-pack than in the 12-pack, a promotion on the large pack shifts the price per cup far more than a discount on a dozen. The machine is cheap, the capsule is the price

On delizio.ch the Viva Elegante machine costs CHF 69.95 in September 2026, with 48 capsules included according to the offer text, and shipping is free from CHF 30.00. That is the classic capsule-system arithmetic: the entry is cheap, the running cost sits in the capsule.

So count in cups, not in packs. At two cups a day that is roughly 730 capsules a year. The difference between 15.83 and 41.25 centimes, namely 25.42 centimes, works out at about 186 francs a year on that volume, before any promotion is counted at all. One caveat belongs here. We do not claim that a compatible capsule runs perfectly in every machine generation. We report what the chains write themselves. Denner presents its NERO and EMOZIONE capsules on its capsule page as compatible with Delizio machines, and Lidl in 2020 spoke of Delizio-compatible coffee capsules under its own brand Bellarom. Which Delizio compatible capsule is worth it? It depends

It depends on the variety, the pack size and the current week. The cheapest Delizio-compatible capsule we documented in September 2026 is Denner's NERO Lungo at 15.83 centimes, but it covers a single variety. If you drink ristretto or decaffeinated the list gets shorter, and if you want a specific flavoured capsule you stay with the original. A ranking across all chains would be wrong by the following Thursday, so there is none here.
