Until early February 2026, the Migros promotion week ran from Tuesday to Monday. Since 5 February 2026 the new rhythm applies: deals start on Thursday and end on Wednesday of the following week (source: corporate.migros.ch). Migros says the change follows its customers' habits: more and more people do their bigger shops between Thursday and Saturday, so promo items should be well stocked exactly on those busy days.
Migros follows Coop, which made the same Tuesday-to-Thursday move back in January 2025 (source: 20 Minuten). Denner, the discounter of the Migros group, has shifted its promo start to Thursday as well (source: denner.ch). The promotion weeks of Migros, Coop and Denner now begin on the same day, which makes direct comparison easier than ever.

The popular Wochenend-Knaller, Migros' weekend specials, remain available from Thursday to Sunday, unchanged (source: corporate.migros.ch). They start together with the new weekly deals but only run until Sunday evening, so if you have your eye on one, do not wait until the start of the week.

The earliest official look at the coming promo week is the Migros-Magazin: since the change it is delivered on Wednesday, together with the Migros Woche offers supplement, leaving a full day to plan your shop before the deals go live on Thursday (source: corporate.migros.ch). Parts of the new flyer often surface earlier on third-party flyer portals. Are the deals the same across Switzerland?
Migros is made up of ten regional cooperatives, such as Migros Aare, Migros Zürich and Migros Ticino (source: corporate.migros.ch). Each cooperative used to decide largely on its own which promotions to run, so flyers differed by region. According to Blick, promotions are now steered centrally for the whole of Switzerland, with far fewer but nationwide deals.
