When do next week's grocery deals appear? The overview

Since February 2026 the Swiss promotion rhythm has never been this uniform. Migros and Denner moved their promotion start to Thursday as of 5 February 2026 (source: Migros Corporate Newsroom, Denner press release), and Coop had already made the same move in January 2025 (source: Coop press release, foodaktuell.ch). The promotion week at all three major retailers now begins on Thursday and ends on Wednesday of the following week.

Useful for planning: the loud weekend offers run in parallel with the normal promotion week. At Migros and Denner they are called Wochenend-Knaller and run Thursday to Sunday (source: Migros Corporate Newsroom, Denner press release), Coop's Weekend Hits also run Thursday to Sunday, and Lidl places its Super Weekend on Friday to Sunday (per lidl.ch, as of June 2026).

Migros, Coop and Denner: previewing the Thursday trio

The earliest official preview comes from Denner. Per denner.ch, the following week's deals are usually visible online from Monday on the "Aktionen ab Donnerstag" page, with exact validity dates per product (source: denner.ch, as of June 2026). On top of that, the printed "Denner Woche" flyer now lands in households on Wednesday (source: Denner press release). For the full playbook, see Denner deals next week.

Migros delivers its Migros magazine with the "Migros Woche" insert on Wednesday, so you can plan before the Thursday start (source: Migros Corporate Newsroom, January 2026). Migros does not advertise an official online preview several days ahead; new deals appear in the app at launch on Thursday. The full system is explained in Migros deals next week.

Coop publishes its new deals with the Coopzeitung on Thursday, in parallel in the Supercard app and on coop.ch (source: Coop press release, foodaktuell.ch). There is no official preview before Thursday. Third-party flyer portals sometimes list the coming Coop week earlier, but reliability varies and some still carry outdated promotion days. Aldi and Lidl: two discounters, two preview routes

Aldi Suisse runs its own beat: new promotions start on Monday and on Thursday, two rounds per week (per aldi-suisse.ch, as of June 2026). Aldi posts its leaflet online at aldi-suisse.ch, usually a few days before the offers become valid. No loyalty card is needed; the promo price applies to everyone at the till.

Lidl bundles its offers in the weekly "Lidl Aktuell" leaflet, which currently runs Thursday to Wednesday and is available as a PDF on lidl.ch. In early July 2026 both the current and the coming leaflet were online at the same time, so next week can be browsed in advance (per lidl.ch, as of July 2026). Add the Super Weekend from Friday to Sunday, and note that individual offers can start on other days too, so the PDF is worth a look.

How to plan next week's shop

With the almost uniform Thursday start, a simple weekly routine emerges:

  • Monday: denner.ch usually already shows the deals starting Thursday, and Aldi's first offer round of the week begins.
  • Wednesday: the Migros magazine and the Denner flyer are in the letterbox, and Lidl's PDF for the new week is usually online. Now you can plan Thursday's shop across all chains.
  • Thursday: Migros, Coop, Denner and the new Lidl leaflet start at the same time, plus Aldi's second round. The most important deal day of the week.
  • Friday to Sunday: Wochenend-Knaller (Migros, Denner), Weekend Hits (Coop) and Super Weekend (Lidl) overlap, often on meat, fruit and vegetables.

A promo price is only a good price if no other chain beats it. That cross-check is exactly what Rappn does: search a product and see at once which chain sells it cheapest this week. And for the seasonal patterns behind the weekly cycle, see the Swiss supermarket promotion calendar.

When do next week's deals appear at Migros, Coop and Denner?

All three start their new promotion week on Thursday, valid through Wednesday of the following week. Coop switched in January 2025, Migros and Denner as of 5 February 2026 (sources: Coop press release, Migros Corporate Newsroom, Denner press release). The Migros magazine and the Denner flyer already arrive on Wednesday.

Where can I preview next week's Denner deals?

On denner.ch: the "Aktionen ab Donnerstag" page usually shows the following week from Monday, with exact validity dates per product (as of June 2026). The printed "Denner Woche" flyer follows on Wednesday in letterboxes.

Do Aldi and Lidl deals also start on Thursday?

Partly. Aldi Suisse runs two rounds per week, starting Monday and Thursday (per aldi-suisse.ch, as of June 2026). Lidl's weekly leaflet currently runs Thursday to Wednesday, with the Super Weekend from Friday to Sunday (per lidl.ch, as of July 2026).

Why do Swiss supermarket deals now start on Thursday?

The chains align promotions with the weekend, the most important shopping window. At Denner the Wochenend-Knaller now lasts four days instead of two, and availability of promo items at weekends is meant to improve (source: Denner press release, January 2026).

Where can I see all of next week's deals in one place?

In the Rappn app and on rappn.ch under Offers: over 10,000 deals from Migros, Coop, Denner, Aldi and Lidl, searchable by product, category, price and canton. As soon as a chain publishes the new week, it appears in the neutral comparison.
