This single-varietal red wine from the Spanish winery Luzón is a voluminous wine produced from Garnacha Tintonera grapes. These come from the estate's historic vineyards in the Jumilla region, where the tradition of artisanal viticulture has lasted for over 40 years. The harvest is done manually. For 48 hours, the fruits were subjected to cold maceration at 8°C. The grapes were then selected on the sorting table so that only the best ones fermented to obtain this concentrated wine. The alcoholic fermentation lasted 10-12 weeks and took place at a controlled temperature of 28°C in contact with the skins. Subsequently, the wine matured for eight months in French and American oak barrels. The Luzón winery is one of the historic wineries in the region and has been producing wines since the end of the 19th century. Its origins date back to 1841, when Don José de Molina, a commander of the royal armies, decided to return home from the Spanish colony of Manila. He settled in Spain and named his estate Finca Luzón, leaving it as an inheritance to his daughter Ana Josefa. Bodegas Luzón is one of the oldest wineries in the Jumilla region and has been managed by women for a long time, since its beginnings.
