Swiss Supermarket Catalogues: Which One Comes Out on Which Day?
Since 5 February 2026, Migros, Coop and Denner start their promotions on Thursday and run them to Wednesday of the following week. Lidl Schweiz publishes two waves a week, Thursday and Monday, and Aldi Suisse states the same. Aligro runs Monday to Saturday and Otto's starts its Wochenhits on Tuesday. This page maps the rhythm of all seven chains and each catalogue's official channel, not the contents of any single flyer.
Every currently valid offer from the seven chains in one view, searchable by product and filterable by category, price and canton. No paging through seven catalogues.

The seven chains Rappn tracks do not publish their weekly catalogue on the same day. Since 5 February 2026, Migros, Coop and Denner all start their promotions on Thursday and run them until Wednesday of the following week; on 3 August 2026 denner.ch headed its Wochenaktionen «30.07.–05.08.2026», which is exactly Thursday to Wednesday. Lidl Schweiz runs two promotion waves a week, on Thursday and on Monday (lidl.ch, checked 3 August 2026), and Aldi Suisse states two weekly waves as well. Aligro publishes its weekly actions from Monday to Saturday (aligro.ch, checked 3 August 2026), and Otto's starts its Wochenhits on Tuesday (ottos.ch, checked 3 August 2026): in an ordinary week there are three switch-over days, not one.
Last checked: August 2026.
Sources reviewed regularly. Thursday promotion start: corporate.migros.ch, «Migros-Aktionen starten neu am Donnerstag» (26 January 2026), the Denner press release «Denner verschiebt Aktionsstart auf Donnerstag» (26 January 2026), and as live evidence the «30.07.–05.08.2026» validity shown on denner.ch. Coop switch: kleinreport.ch (15 January 2025), 20 Minuten (16 January 2025) and cominmag.ch (21 January 2025). Catalogues and validity windows: lidl.ch (Werbeprospekte als PDF), aligro.ch and aligro.ch/documents/prospectus, ottos.ch (Aktuelle Wochenhits und Kataloge), all retrieved 3 August 2026. Examples of stale portal cycles: promofolder.ch and oferlo.ch, also retrieved 3 August 2026. For Aldi Suisse we have no machine-checkable source: aldi-suisse.ch answered our requests with HTTP 403 on 3 August 2026, so we name no brochure and quote nothing there. We deliberately quote no promotion prices here: they are valid only while the respective catalogue runs.

Which day does each Swiss supermarket catalogue come out?
Three days structure the Swiss promotion week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The table below sets out, for the seven chains Rappn tracks, the publication day, how long the catalogue is valid, its exact name, and the official channel where it appears first.
| Chain | Catalogue starts | Valid | Catalogue name | Official publication |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Migros | Thursday (since 5.2.2026) | Thursday to Wednesday of the following week; weekend deals Thursday to Sunday | Migros Woche, insert in the Migros-Magazin (delivered Wednesday) | migros.ch and the Migros app |
| Coop | Thursday (since January 2025) | Thursday to Wednesday of the following week | promotion insert in the Coopzeitung, delivered Thursday | coop.ch and the Coop app |
| Denner | Thursday (since 5.2.2026) | Thursday to Wednesday of the following week; weekend deals Thursday to Sunday | Denner Woche, insert in the Migros-Magazin (Wednesday instead of Monday) | denner.ch and the Denner app |
| Aldi Suisse | Monday and Thursday (the chain's own statement, not machine-checkable by us) | depends on the promotion wave | the chain's weekly brochure | aldi-suisse.ch and the Aldi Suisse app |
| Lidl Schweiz | Thursday (main wave) and Monday (second wave) | Thursday to Wednesday: on lidl.ch the waves started Thu 30.7, Mon 3.8, Thu 6.8 and Mon 10.8.2026 | PDF flyers, one edition per wave | lidl.ch (PDF), Lidl Plus app, WhatsApp and newsletter |
| Aligro | Monday | Monday to Saturday: Actions PRO #32 and Actions BUSINESS #32 ran 3.8 to 8.8.2026 | Actions PRO and Actions BUSINESS, each in two regional editions | aligro.ch, Documents/Prospectus section |
| Otto's | Tuesday | from Tuesday, «solange Vorrat» (while stocks last) | Wochenhits, plus special catalogues such as the Möbelflyer | ottos.ch |
Why do Migros, Coop and Denner all start on Thursday?
Because the big weekly shop moved towards the weekend. Coop went first, in January 2025: per kleinreport.ch (15 January 2025) the promotion start for the entire Coop group moved to Thursday, with offers then available «until the Wednesday of the following week», and the Coopzeitung and its sister papers now arriving on Thursday instead of Tuesday. cominmag.ch (21 January 2025) reports the same change on the French-speaking side, where Coopération moved to Thursday. 20 Minuten (16 January 2025) noted that Migros was at that point still running Tuesday to Monday.
A year later Migros and Denner followed. On 26 January 2026 Migros announced that from 5 February 2026 its promotions start on Thursday and run until Wednesday of the following week, that the weekend deals stay «von Donnerstag bis Sonntag», and that the Migros-Magazin — including the Migros Woche and Denner offer inserts — is now delivered on Wednesday. Denner's press release the same day confirms the switch as of 5 February 2026, with weekly promotions Thursday to Wednesday and the Denner Woche distributed on Wednesday rather than Monday.
In practice, Wednesday has become the planning day and Thursday the shopping day for the three largest chains. The year-round pattern of recurring promotion waves is mapped in our Swiss supermarket promotion calendar, and the look-ahead in Coop deals next week.
Where does each chain officially publish its catalogue?
The chain's own channel is always the correct version, because it flips at the exact moment the cycle does. Lidl Schweiz publishes its flyers as PDFs: on 3 August 2026 the lidl.ch flyer section already listed four start dates — Thursday 30 July, Monday 3 August, Thursday 6 August and Monday 10 August 2026 — which is the Thursday main wave and the Monday second wave in black and white. Alongside them the chain promotes a WhatsApp subscription («Hol dir dein Prospekt: auf WhatsApp!») and a newsletter. Aligro that same day headlined «HITS DU 3.8 AU 8.8» on its home page and published, under Documents/Prospectus, Actions PRO #32 and Actions BUSINESS #32, both valid 3 to 8 August 2026 and each in one French-speaking edition (Chavannes, Matran, Genève, Sion) and one German-speaking edition (Schlieren, Bern, Pratteln and Spreitenbach among others).
Otto's keeps everything under «Aktuelle Wochenhits und Kataloge»: on 3 August 2026 that page showed the Wochenhits «gültig ab 4. August» (a Tuesday), the previous edition «ab 28. Juli», the following edition «ab 11. August» already visible, and a Möbelflyer «gültig ab 01. Juli». Migros, Coop and Denner bundle their offers on their own website and in their own app, with the printed insert in the Migros-Magazin or the Coopzeitung. Chain-by-chain detail lives on our pages for the Migros flyer, the Coop flyer, the Aldi flyer, the Lidl flyer and the Otto's flyer, plus the overview of Swiss supermarket flyers.
Why do third-party flyer portals show outdated cycles?
Because they re-publish photographed catalogues instead of following the source live, and you can check it in a minute. On 3 August 2026, promofolder.ch listed as its most recent Aligro catalogue the one «Valable 30 mars au 04 avril», while aligro.ch was publishing edition #32 for 3 to 8 August that same day. On the same portal the most recent Lidl catalogue was «Valable 02 avril au 08 avril», although lidl.ch was already listing waves out to 10 August. And oferlo.ch, on that same 3 August 2026, headlined «COOP Aktionen ab dienstag 30.07.2026» — 30 July 2026 was a Thursday, and Coop has started on Thursday since January 2025.
This is not a complaint about one platform; it is the structural weakness of the model. A catalogue image ages the moment a chain changes its rhythm, and that rhythm moved at three of the country's largest chains across 2025 and 2026. Take the start day from a portal and you may turn up in store two days early, or compare an April price in the middle of August.
So which catalogue day is best for your shop? It depends
Honest answer: it depends on your basket. Shop on Thursday or Friday and you catch the freshly launched promotions at Migros, Coop and Denner plus Lidl's main week. Shop on Monday or Tuesday and the Aldi and Aligro waves are new and Otto's Wochenhits are just starting, while the three Thursday chains are already in the back half of their cycle. No day is better in the abstract — it depends on the products you buy, and that is exactly what you see live in Rappn instead of guessing.
In the app the current offers of all seven chains (Migros, Coop, Aldi Suisse, Lidl, Denner, Aligro, Otto's) come together in one searchable view: more than 10,000 offers, filterable by category, price and canton, in four languages, and free. On top of that come price-drop alerts, shared shopping lists, a loyalty-card wallet, receipt scanning and unit-price comparison, which helps when two chains advertise the same product in different pack sizes. How this compares with classic flyer apps is covered in flyer apps in Switzerland.
Next step: keep Wednesday as your planning day and Thursday as the start day of the three biggest chains, then set a price alert in Rappn on the products you buy regularly. You will never need to page through seven catalogues to find out where your product is on promotion this week.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which day do Swiss supermarket catalogues come out?
Three different days. Migros, Coop and Denner start their weekly promotions on Thursday and keep them valid until Wednesday of the following week: since 5 February 2026 for Migros and Denner (corporate.migros.ch and the Denner press release, 26 January 2026), and since January 2025 for Coop (kleinreport.ch, 15 January 2025). On 3 August 2026 denner.ch headed the running week «30.07.–05.08.2026». Lidl Schweiz runs two waves a week, Thursday and Monday (lidl.ch, 3 August 2026), and Aldi Suisse states two as well. Aligro runs Monday to Saturday and Otto's starts on Tuesday.
When does the Lidl Switzerland flyer come out and where can I find it?
Lidl Schweiz publishes its flyers as PDFs, with a Thursday main wave on a Thursday-to-Wednesday cycle and a second wave on Monday. On 3 August 2026 the lidl.ch flyer section already listed four start dates: Thursday 30 July, Monday 3 August, Thursday 6 August and Monday 10 August 2026, so the coming waves were online before they even started. The official channels are lidl.ch, the Lidl Plus app, the WhatsApp subscription and the newsletter.
Which day is the Aligro action of the week published?
Monday. On 3 August 2026 the aligro.ch home page headlined «HITS DU 3.8 AU 8.8», that is Monday to Saturday. It is published as two documents per calendar week, Actions PRO and Actions BUSINESS, each in two regional editions, one French-speaking and one German-speaking. The number matches the calendar week — #32 in that example, valid 3 to 8 August 2026.
Why does a flyer portal show a different promotion day than the chain itself?
Because those portals re-publish catalogues, and the stored rhythm goes stale as soon as a chain changes. On 3 August 2026, promofolder.ch listed its most recent Aligro catalogue as «Valable 30 mars au 04 avril» while aligro.ch was publishing the 3 to 8 August edition; the same day, oferlo.ch headlined «COOP Aktionen ab dienstag 30.07.2026» even though 30 July 2026 was a Thursday and Coop has started on Thursday since January 2025. The chain's own channel is the reliable one.
Why is the Migros-Magazin now delivered on Wednesday?
Because the promotion start moved to Thursday. Per corporate.migros.ch (26 January 2026), the Migros-Magazin, including the Migros Woche and Denner offer inserts, is now delivered on Wednesday so you can plan the evening before the start. Denner's press release of the same day confirms the Denner Woche is distributed on Wednesday instead of Monday.
Do I have to page through all seven catalogues to find the best price?
No. In Rappn the current offers of all seven chains (Migros, Coop, Aldi Suisse, Lidl, Denner, Aligro, Otto's) come together in one searchable view: more than 10,000 offers, filterable by category, price and canton, in four languages and free. On top of that come price-drop alerts, shared shopping lists, a loyalty-card wallet, receipt scanning and unit-price comparison.
