What does a way of eating actually cost week to week? This group holds the guides on vegan and vegetarian, gluten free and lactose free, organic, protein and baby food: typical baskets, the distance between own brand and specialist product, and how to compare two substitutes fairly.

Specialist ranges go on promotion less often than standard products, and their prices sit further apart from chain to chain. Every guide therefore names its basket, its date and its source instead of one blanket figure. The basis is seven Swiss chains and all 26 cantons, in four languages.
